February--here we come

I cant believe it February...17 days until Im the big 50. Where have the years gone?

After the snow thaws

Today is bright and sunny and the snow is starting to melt. It looks so beautiful as the flakes start coming down and then it starts to melt and what a mess. But it was such a wonder to watch.

Im attempting delcutter this house and my life in celebration of my 50th birthday next month. Im reaching a milestone and I want to be able to be clutter free physically, mentally and emotionally. I want the second half of my life to mean something. I have done alot but as I look forward I have so much more to do an accomplish.

New Year

Well, its 2010. 2009 went by so quickly. Our family went through alot of heartache.
My sister Cathy lost her husband Jake in August. Bobby lost 3 relatives in the course of 3 days in November.

The first thing on my agenda for 2010 is to purge and sort everything. Im going to be starting up a new business. Im in the process of purchasing a small building so that I will be able to sell out of it. There arent any places here where I can put a booth up. We have a outdoor flea market that runs from April until October which is held twice a week. But Im in the groove to sell, sell and sell all the flea market finds, auction finds and yard sale finds that I no longer really want. I want to look around my house and see things that truly speak to me and that I love and treasure. I have found myself in the past buying something that was a bargain and then I grew tired of it and then it went into the basement. No more of that.

Fall is just around the corner

I have decided that Im going to do more posting on my blog. Things have started to calm down around here, so here goes.

Today, Im going to get out all my fall decorations and start setting them around the house and yard. I love to smell the crisp air and look at the wonderful colors that nature has provided.

Im starting with my front porch and I will post pics later today or tomorrow.

New Floor for the kitchen

I didnt know when I started the flooring project in the kitchen that it would end being a week long ordeal. The floor had to be mudded 3 times and then the floor put down and the corner round installed.

The floor looks so great....
